The Division of Safety of Dams is solely funded by fees assessed to owners of dams under State jurisdiction. The fees are adjusted periodically to cover the cost to operate the program (Section 6307, Subsection (a).
The current fee program is divided into two categories: application fees and annual fees.
Application Fees
Section 6300, Subsection (a), Section 6302, Section 6303, and Section 6305.
The application for an alteration, repair, removal, enlargement, or new dam
construction shall be accompanied by a filing fee based upon the estimated cost,
and according to the following schedule (PDF).
