| As part of the Oroville Facilities Relicensing process and OCAP BO requirements we perform steelhead redd surveys to identify the location, timing and magnitude (where possible) of steelhead spawning in the lower Feather River. The survey is generally performed weekly and most of the available spawning area between the Fish Barrier Dam and Honcut Creek is searched. We also collect information on the size of the redd, the size of gravel used and many other physical characteristics. Successful surveys were conducted in 2003, 2005 and 2008. For more information see Technical Reports and Publications. |
