Phase 1 Information
Phase 1 evaluated the risk and consequences to the State (e.g., water export disruption and economic impact) and the Delta (e.g., levees, infrastructure, property, and ecosystem) associated with the failure of Delta levees and other assets considering their exposure to all hazards (seismic, flood, subsidence, seepage and sea level rise, etc.) under present as well as foreseeable future conditions. The evaluation assesses the total risk as well as a disaggregation of the risk for individual islands. The DRMS Phase 1 Executive Summary (PDF: 1.9MB) presents the key findings from the Phase 1 Report.
The Phase 1 Report has been favorably reviewed by an Independent Review Panel (IRP) comprised of technical experts. The IRP members were selected by the CALFED Independent Science Board (ISB). The review, including comments and responses, is available in Appendices A&B of the DRMS Phase 1 Report.

The Department of Water Resources held a Public Information Meeting on June 26, 2007 to discuss the Phase 1 (Risk Analysis) of the DRMS project.
The purpose of the meeting was to explain how the DRMS project was conducted and to present some preliminary findings and answer any questions the public may have on the DRMS project.
