North Delta staff engages in extensive outreach to assure that flood control issues are addressed from a watershed perspective and flood and ecosystem improvements are well-coordinated with other area planning processes. The Mokelumne-Cosumnes Watershed Alliance (MCWA) provides a forum for coordination and communication between projects in the Mokelumne and Cosumnes watershed and the North Delta area. Key projects North Delta coordinates with include the following:

• The South Sacramento County Streams Project
• Interstate 5 and Point Pleasant Flood Protection Project
• The Cosumnes/Mokelumne Feasibility Study
