Land Subsidence Data
DWR is engaged in an ongoing program with Sacramento Valley Counties to improve data collection and our understanding of the aquifer system. DWR has installed and operates eleven extensometer stations in the northern Sacramento Valley. In addition, through cooperative efforts, GPS baseline surveys have been conducted in the Tulelake Basin and the Sacramento Valley. Initial GPS projects were first completed in Glenn and Yolo Counties and became part of the Sacramento Valley GPS network when it was constructed in 2008. Below are links to land subsidence information, data, and projects.
