  • Environmental Program Manager I (Supervisor) ($6275-7575) - FloodSAFE Environmental Stewardship and Statewide Resources Office, Environmental Restoration and Enhancement Branch, Sacramento (Final Filing Date: 02/17/10). We are looking for a forward thinking, energetic, collaborative, dedicated scientist to lead and manage the Riverine Ecosystem Section.   • Environmental Program Manager II ($8006-8830) - Division of Environmental Services, Office of Environmental Compliance, Sacramento (Final Filing Date: 02/11/10). The Chief of the Office of Environmental Compliance oversees management of the Environmental Compliance and Evaluation Branch, Ecological Studies Branch and Mitigation and Restoration Branch. Responsible for a broad range of important environmental program activities that are of critical importance to the State’s future water supplies. Provide advice and assistance to executive management within the Department and to other entities, such as the California Bay/Delta Authority and the Bay Delta Conservation Plan Steering Committee.   • Environmental Scientist ($3077-5711) - Division of Integrated Regional Water Management, North-Central Region Office, Regional Planning & Coordination, California-Nevada & Watershed Assessment, West Sacramento (Final Filling Date:02/25/10). Under the supervision of the Chief of the California-Nevada & Watershed Assessment Section, the incumbent assists with the recreation assessments at State Water Project (SWP) facilities, perform field inspections to monitor the conditions of facilities and resources; writes technical summaries and reports, and reviews environmental documents for recreational facilities to support development and utilization of recreation opportunities and enhancement of fish and wildlife resources; assists with hosting of recreation events in coordination with other Department of Water Resources (DWR) programs; provides coordination with statewide agencies and recreation programs, the SWP Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) relicensing programs, and recreation planning efforts pursuant to the Davis-Dolwing Act.   • Environmental Scientist ($3077-5711) - Division of Flood Management, Levee Repairs Branch, Environmental Support Section, Sacramento, up to 12-24 months Limited-Term (Final Filing Date: 02/23/10). Provide environmental support for activities associated with levee repairs, operation and maintenance and improvement of federal flood control state, federal, and local flood control facilities. Work closely within an interdisciplinary project delivery team to provide information relevant to environmental laws, rules, regulations, policies, and permit conditions. Work cooperatively with regulatory agencies (DFG, State Lands Commission, Water Resources Control Board, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. F&WS, NMFS, etc.), other parts of the Department, and the public. Assist the Section Chief by conducting and/or overseeing a variety of compliance-related activities including preparation of draft environmental documents and permits needed to comply with State and federal environmental laws. Collect data through research, field surveys, and investigations for environmental analyses and studies.   • Environmental Scientist ($3077-5711) - Division of Integrated Regional Water Management, Northern Region Office, Special Investigations, Environmental Services Section, Red Bluff (Final Filing Date: 02/11/10). Under the supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist, the incumbent will be responsible for conducting biological and recreation surveys and investigations in support of DWR flood management, water management, and recreation programs within the Northern Region. The Environmental Scientist will prepare monitoring plans, sections of mitigation and restoration planning documents, and environmental documents in accordance with environmental laws and regulations. As part of these duties, the incumbent will prepare statistical analyses, tables, charts, and graphs, and prepare final analytical and summary reports.
