| State Water Project Operating Normally The State Water Project is operating normally today, making scheduled deliveries, according to officials of DWR. Security monitoring of SWP facilities was increased, tours are cancelled and Visitors Centers are closed, as precautions. DWR offices are scheduled to be open for business as usual on Wednesday, September 12. The SWP provides water supplies to 23 million Californians and for irrigation of about 1 million acres of farmland.
