Highway 12 is a busily traveled road and the main artery from Highway 80/Suisun City, through Rio Vista and on to Interstate 5. Due to the narrowness of the road and it's undulating nature, it has also been nicknamed "blood alley" by local residents because of it's reputation for many accidents and fatalities.
