In addition, this report documents and presents the findings from previous aquifer testing and well development with the lower-confined Tuscan Formation aquifer. The investigation was undertaken as a part of the Groundwater Development effort of the State Water Project Future Supply Program.

Merced River Gravel Augmentation Project Monitoring Report 12/01/2004 (PDF, 7.84 MB)Description: The Merced Hatchery Project is on the Merced River near Snelling, just below the Crocker-Huffman dam. Originally constructed in 1991, the project consisted of excavation and replacement of bed material in approximately 400 feet of channel to improve salmon spawning conditions. The project has since evolved into a gravel replenishment site, with about 200 feet of the channel being periodically filled with suitable spawning material.
Merced River Salmon Habitat Enhancement Project - Ratzlaff Reach Engineering Report 03/01/2000Description: This phase of the project is located on the Merced River between river miles 40.0 and 40.5, approximately 6 miles southwest of the town of Snelling. It was Phase II (Ratzlaff Reach) of the Merced River Salmon Habitat Enhancement Project (MRSHEP), but the first construction phase.

Monitoring Graywater Use: Three Case Studies in California 01/17/1999 (PDF, 211 KB)Description: The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) with the City of Santa
Barbara and East Bay Municipal Utilities District initiated the Graywater Study in the spring of 1996. Graywater is untreated waste water which has not come into contact with toilet waste. The purpose of the study was to collect data at single-family sites to determine the benefits, costs, and impacts of graywater. The project was modeled after the 1992 City of Los Angeles Office of Reclamation's Graywater Pilot Project. It was hoped that there would be ten sites throughout the State to participate in this two-year project. While initial interest was great, only three sites in the cities of Santa Barbara,
Danville (Contra Costa County), and Castro Valley (Alameda County) were able to obtain local permits and meet the other requirements of the study.
