The windows over the red panels are for public viewing of the spawning
operation in the fall and winter. Click on the blue arrow to go
directly into the spawning building.
Turning away from the building, two other round holding tanks are visible.
These are two of four tanks at the hatchery. They hold fish that are not
ready for processing.
Turn toward the blue door and click on the audio symbol to hear a loud
sound of a fish flapping in the gathering tank.
School classes and the public may visit the hatchery year round, though
the artificial spawning operations occur on weekdays from late
September through mid-November.
Guided tours during spawning season are available and should be
scheduled 30 days in advance. Click the "Visit Us" tab along the left side
of this digital book for how to contact the hatchery.
