The Department of General Services, Procurement Division offers two services of benefit to both the prime contractor and a potential subcontractor. The services enable a greater partnership opportunity between prime contractors and small business or disabled veteran-owned businesses when responding to the Department's competitive bid process.

The Subscription Outreach Service (SOS) is offered on the California State Contracts Register website and provides another link to business opportunity for contractors. SOS is accessed through the CSCR and is a notification vehicle that automatically delivers contract opportunity advertisements from CSCR to your desktop or fax. The contractor registers and creates a profile online, and then specifies the contract opportunity advertisements they want to receive.

CSCR Contractor Advertisements provides an additional opportunity for contractors to partner with small business or DVBE contractors. This feature allows the contractor to attach an advertisement to a specific solicitation notice and advertise for and announce their desire to sub-contract with a small business or DVBE business to contribute to that project.
