On March 30, 2015, DWR released the draft funding recommendations and evaluation forms for public comment. DWR will hold a public meeting to receive comment on the draft funding recommendations at the CAL/EPA Building, Sierra Room Sacramento April 17th beginning at 3:00pm. This meeting will also be simulcast at http://www.calepa.ca.gov/broadcast/.
The public comment period for the draft funding recommendations and evaluation forms is now open and will close on April 24, 2015. Written comments can be submitted in hardcopy or electronic format (WORD, PDF) via the following methods:

The Water-Energy Grant Program provides funds to implement water efficiency programs or projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and reduce water and energy use.
The funding for this program was approved by the Governor on March 1, 2014 through Senate Bill 103, Section 11, which appropriated funds from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to the California Department of Water Resources to establish a grant program.
Eligible Applicants: local agencies, joint powers authorities, and nonprofit organizations
- Residential Water Efficiency, Commercial Water Efficiency, Institutional Water Efficiency Programs, or
- Projects that reduce greenhouse gas, reduce water and reduce energy use
Available Funding: $19,000,000
