Southern District, Offers to Buy or Sell Water Rights

Water rights may be sold for a specified term (i.e., leased) or permanently (i.e., transfer of title to water rights). If the sale is for a specified term, the term of the sale is shown. If the sale is permanent, the term of sale is shown as "permanent."

Watermaster does not mediate these transactions, however, we must verify a transaction before it can become effective. Only parties may purchase water rights for a specified term (i.e., lease); anyone may purchase water rights permanently. All transactions must be fully executed by June 30 of the administratve year to which they apply.
