A3 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Agricultural Efficient Water Management Practices Update
SB X7-7 (Part 2.55, Chapter 4, �10608.48(h)) The department may update the efficient water management practices required pursuant to subdivision (c), in consultation with the Agricultural Water Management Council, the United States Bureau of Reclamation, and the board. All efficient water management practices for agricultural water use pursuant to this chapter shall be adopted or revised by the department only after the department conducts public hearings to allow participation of the diverse geographical areas and interests of the state.
HIGHLIGHTS
- DWR in consultation with AWMC, USBR, and SWRCB
- DWR may update the efficient water management practices (EWMPs)
- Conduct public hearings before adopting or revising any EWMPs
- Ag water suppliers need to comply with EWMPs implementation on or before July 31, 2012

The Agricultural Stakeholders Committee (ASC)
The ASC will review technical material and documents, provide comments, data, and supporting information to DWR as the methodology is developed. Review of the ASC meeting materials will provide copies of draft documents related to this project as they are available.
