Flood Operations
The Flood Operations Branch coordinates flood operations with various federal, state and local agencies and is responsible for operating the State-Federal Flood Operations Center in Sacramento and the Eureka Flood Center. The Branch Chief is the Flood Center's primary liaison with the Governor's Office of Emergency Services on flood events, potential high-water situations, and other flood emergency issues. The Flood Operations Branch works year-round on emergency preparedness and coordination, and conducts pre-season workshops. Other components of the Branch include the Decision Support Section, the Response and Security Section, and the Flood System Analysis Section.
