The Response and Security Section provides support for the Flood Operations Center (FOC) and Department Incident Command Teams (ICTs). This is done through the identification and acquisition of necessary equipment, the identification of and coordination for providing training, and by developing, organizing and conducting exercises to help prepare the FOC and ICTs to respond to flood emergencies. This section also includes the Flood Fight Specialist who provides expertise during flooding events and offers the Flood Fight Methods class to DWR, other state agencies, local agencies and the public. This section also coordinates the Division of Flood Management's participation in Statewide Emergency Operations Plans and maintains other flood emergency response related documents.
