Silverwood Lake is a multipurpose project located within San Bernardino National Forest that provides a major water source for agencies serving nearby mountain and desert areas. Some 2,400 acres of recreation land surround the lake. The lake is the State Water Project's highest at 3,355 feet.
Directions: via Highway 138, 11 miles east of I-15 or 20 miles north of San Bernardino via Highways 18 & 138.
Activities: the Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area offers camping, picnicking, boating, waterskiing, fishing, swimming, biking, and hiking.
