The California Water Plan (Water Plan) is the State government's strategic plan for managing and developing water resources statewide for current and future generations. It provides a collaborative planning framework for elected officials, agencies, tribes, water and resource managers, businesses, academia, stakeholders, and the public to develop findings and recommendations and make informed decisions for California's water future. California Water Plan Update 2018 - Policy AC Meeting Update
The Policy AC will hold its next meeting on April 24, 2017, in Sacramento at the Health Services East End Complex Training Rooms A, B, and C. The meeting will include a review of draft content/chapters with an emphasis on draft policy recommendations (Chapter 3). Please RSVP. A draft agenda is posted on the Meeting Materials page. California Water Plan Update 2018 - Draft Assumptions and Estimates Report
DWR has released the Draft Assumptions and Estimates Report (Draft A&E Report) for Update 2018. The Draft A&E Report presents key assumptions and estimates, data and data sources, and companion plans which will be considered for the preparation of Update 2018. DWR is interested in receiving comments about the information presented in the report. Comments are due by June 6, 2017. A set of more than 30 Water Plan resource management strategies (RMSs) have been posted online. The strategies present a set of tools that can help meet the water-related resource management needs of each region of California, and the state as a whole. California's Groundwater Update 2013 is available online
California's Groundwater Update 2013: A Compilation of Enhanced Content for California Water Plan Update 2013 compiles and analyzes readily-available groundwater information to characterize California’s groundwater basins, aquifers, and well infrastructure. It contains essential data, information, and analyses that will be important to the successful implementation of a statewide groundwater sustainability management process. (04/15/2015)
